AZAYA BLUE

A few days I was reading another blog and they were featuring this absolutely amazing jewelry (I think we can agree that these pieces are just my style - edgy and a little hard but still ever so chic).

Well, the company behind these brilliant designs contacted me and asked if I would also be interested in featuring them and I, of course, had to say yes (please note as well that I am not being compensated for writing this or drawing attention to this company, I just genuinely love the designs and thought this might be something that my readers would also be interested in).

Here's a little bit of info on AZAYA BLUE: they offer a new high quality fashion jewelry and accessories line that is using social media as a funding platform to build their creative business and brand.

This is very much a company on the grow. Business partners Kata Kekedi and Nicole Schock have a combined 15 years in the fashion industry. Passionate about fashion that empowers women, they have created AZAYA BLUE, a fashion jewelry and accessories line. Between them they have multiple degrees achieved through The Fashion Institute of Technology, Seattle Pacific University, University of Applied Arts (in Budapest), and University of Belles Arts (in Barcelona). AZAYA BLUE is a new jewelry and accessories line that is about feeling feminine, empowered and strong. The line is set to launch in Fall 2011. Designer and cofounder Kata Kekedi set out to create non-traditional, high quality fashion jewelry and accessories that are made to last. Her pieces capture a seductive and luxurious mood, incorporating leather, crystals and exotic materials.

The line also brings elements of fashion jewelry design to the creation of handbags, blurring the boundary between jewelry and fashion accessories.

Before launching their Fall 2011 line at retail, they will make part of their collection available to fashion enthusiasts for pre-order on Kickstarter, the hip new social media fueled business financing site. These signature pieces will be available in limited edition colors, and at a fraction of the retail price.

“We’re reaching out and engaging the Kickstarter community as a non-traditional solution for launching a brand” says Nicole Schock, fashion entrepreneur and cofounder.

To pre-order, have a peak at the collection on Kickstarter.
