Tartan

It got dark before I finally got dressed and dragged myself out for a late dinner. So sorry for the indoor photos. But also, get used to it because winter’s a comin’, the days are shorter, and there will be more! I’m obviously still tinkering with indoor lighting (such a pain) but hopefully I’ll iron out the major kinks with my usual aplomb (and yes, I have been waiting to use that in a sentence for days now).

I bought this blouse recently at Connecticut’s own Clinton Crossing outlet store (great deals, nice shops) and took it to my recent conference in Dallas. In about two weeks I head to Denver for the North American Conference on British Studies (this time I’m talking about elite women seeing their positions as heiresses, landowners, and estate managers as sources of honor for them – the dissertation road show continues!) and I will definitely be packing this top. Toss on a blazer for day time conferencing and then take it off for relaxed cocktails in the evening … it’s a winner.

the ruffle detail is so cute, and indoor photos are such a pain! I hate winter.

I LOVE that top! I have one that cuts my boobs in half horizontally so it's not flattering at all... but I will wear it until I find one that's styled like yours!

This is the perfect plaid shirt, I love plaid so much. Definitely a winter wardrobe staple! The sun starts setting around 4/430 now and I am not impressed.

I'm rocking plaid too, but not nearly as cute!

I have never been to Denver but I've been waiting to go for the last few years.

Your shirt is so cute. I love the ruffle detail in the front. I've been on the search for the perfect plaid shirt with some purple in it for some reason. I also love your flats.

Love it! I am a big fan of Scottish fashion, so funny that I see this today because last night I pulled one out, very similar, only that no ruffles, puffed sleeves instead.
You look very nice.

cute blouse, love the ruffle detail. Your airport experience sounds awful but I think I got you beat with my ten days without power nightmare.
