Festivus Regalia

This is the most obnoxious thing in my wardrobe (even more so than my coral blazer) – I get a kick out of the gold buttons and the Yale crest on the pocket. And I do have a grossly inflated sense of self-righteousness and privilege when I wear it, in case you’re wondering. Lux et veritas indeed. Also, I was sans photographer this fine morning in late November so you get awkward shots of me self-photographing in the mirror. You’re welcome.

top: Target / pants: H&M / faux suede wedges: Target / cardigan: Yale Bookstore

Oh, and here’s some shots of all my Christmas decorations (all done while drinking delicious (and alcoholic) hot chocolate) and the first present of the season, gifted to my cats, from two of their uncles (and pet parents to the adorable beagle who has popped up on the blog before). It involved cat nip, as you can probably tell.

You've got that many cards already?? I've got two. Sadness.

Love how you look in those heels/capris - that length just seems like perfection on you.

Its a wonderful sweater!! It looks perfect with that blue top, blue and gray are a great combination.
I have a sweater that kind of reminds everyone of harry potter, so my boyfriend makes fun of it everytime I wear it

I really love your place it has great wood floors, I love the fireplace, and I love the window you put the tree in. I love Christmas decorations even though I'm not big into the holiday. How anyone could hate the decorations with the sparkles, glitter, twinkles, and garland is beyond me.

I love the black wedges and bright blue top, hehe aww the cardigan is cute. Do you ever smoke a pipe whilst holding a jar of grey poupon in this cardigan? I would totally do that (=

Hehe aww, orange tabby kitties going nutso on cat nip! My family has an orange long haired tabby who goes completely bonkers for cat nip.

Your cardigan is so fancy. I've always wanted a preppy cardi like that with the name of some high brow school on it but I am pretty sure people who catch on to the fact that I didnt actually attend the school since I still use words like butt ton and sike.

d. i love your CATS!!
e. your place looks amazeballs.
f. need a tree and some garland and some lights in my life on the double!!

I LOVE that cardigan - maybe more than anything I've seen you wear yet. The stripes around the arm and perfect. Even though I didn't go to Yale, I want one and maybe people will think I did. I should wear it to interviews. :-) In summary, I love it.

Your Christmas decorations look so nice! We can't put a tree up because Kitty jumps in it and it has fallen down before : ( And we find the ornaments everywhere, she takes them off the tree and plays with them. Don't your cats get into the tree?

Your Christmas decorations are lovely! I really like that cardi. School paraphernalia but very subtle. I may have to get one for myself.

That is sooo cute with the cat! I like your "obnoxious" Yale cardi, it is and unexpected but cute pairing with the cobalt blouse. Your house is beautifully decorated. I just love this time of year!

obnoxious as in obnoxiously cute? Love the preppiness of it. Just right for my tastes. And wooo hoo I love the decorations. I put my tree up while alcoholed up too, but that's it. I was too damaged to do anything else.

Okay.... I know I've made about a zillion comments today because I'm behind on my reading but come on, seriously? You're the best ever - a school sweater! If there is one thing I love more than black, sheer, and sequin combined, it's old school sweaters and scarves! I have a collection, yours takes the cake.
