Rainy Days Are My Friends

I was weathering out some rainy weather in my part of the city last week with some faux leather shorts, rubber boots, and a chunky chain necklace. Personally, I love rainy weather because I think it allows one, rather than hampers, to make a sartorial statement (the potential to add boots, layers, scarves, jackets, etc. to a look is something I greatly appreciate). But I imagine I may be in the minority on this.

faux leather shorts: F21 / top: Target / leggings: American Apparel / necklace: Charming Charlie’s / boots: Kamik, Olivia model / purse: found at Winner’s

Loving the outfit!! I like rain, but I don't....it's good for layering but sometimes I get cranky when it ruins a planned outfit that isn't right for the rain :p
(and I wish you could've been there too!)

I am very used to rain, I agree it is nice to bring out a bit more fashion as well. I like this outfit, especially with the plum colour knit.

When it rains, I basically just stay indoors, get into my jammies and read or craft. or make soup. hahaha. I totes love the layering going on though! especially the shorts!

Loving the leather shorts (esp the faux component, may have to get myself a pair!) I love rainy weather when I'm snuggy inside but not when I'm out and about, then it's just dreary. Hope you're settling in well to Canada again :)

I love your layered chain necklace! It depends on what kind of rain we're talking about- torrential downpour when I'm wearing flats or open shoes is not cool! haha :)

I love the shorts and boots together! I agree that rainy weather can allow for a wider range of sartorial choices, but only if it's not going to be 90 degrees right before or after the rain. I would love to be reunited with my wardrobe for the cooler weather in my new hometown.

I am with you on the outfit choices that rainy weather allows. And thanks for reminding me about the leather shorts I need to wear more often. Love the bag!

I don't love rain... but I do love colder weather because it does allow for more creative dressing. Your necklace is fabulous!

This is one of my favorite looks on you - probably because it's so fall-ish :) Also, the burgundy color looks fabulous on you!
