Big News!!!!

Big news people, I made a hair appointment for this Saturday to chop off all my hair and have it colored. I mentioned a month or so ago that every summer I get really frustrated with the insane heat and humidity in Connecticut and usually wind up cutting my hair short. Well last week’s heat wave totally broke me and so it’s off to the stylist for me! And, in the interests of really mixing things up, I haven’t colored my hair for over six months (as you can see in the photos below where my lighter colored roots (aka, my skunk stripe) are really coming in) and, now that most of a the dark hair dye has come out I plan to color it a reddish shade. So stay tuned!

Pants: Express / velvet tank: INC via Macy’s / shoes: Keds / cardigan: Zara / purse: Roxy

In other big news (THIS IS HUGE), a long unenforced Parisan law bearing women from wearing trousers in public (passed in 1799) may soon be repealed. That's right people, it will soon be legal to wear pants in public for ladies. Ah, progress!

And finally, did anyone get in on Gilt Groupe's sale of the Banana Republic Mad Men capsule collection? I was drooling over some of the pieces (hello leopard accents) but I am happy to report that I was very good saver and stuck to my shopping ban.

Totally loving your leopard print cardigan. The insane heat is really getting to me too. I have went the last two weeks without blow drying my hair in the morning because it is just too freaking hot outside.

I love the Mad Men collection. So lovely. I have been loving fashion inspired from that time period for a while.

I can't wait to see your hair really short! The heat broke me during the first week of summer, so I guess you've lasted longer than I did! That is amazing about the law (hopefully) being lifted!

Have a great day!

I read about the Paris law last year--basically, I guess they don't enforce it, thought it is still on the books. For shame!
Can't wait to see your new 'do! Take care.

So excited to see your hair!! Post pictures asap!

Aaah you're finally going red - exciting! And I really don't understand that law whatsoever. More ebacuse I've seen dozens of street style shots in Paris of women wearing trousers on the streets haha. It's good to know that they'll be having a bit of a feminist wardrobe revolution!

And in regards to your comment: I am in no way that organized either hahahaha. I always take all of those steps when cleaning my closet (more because I'm slightly obsessive compulsive) and then it gets messed up the second I go to look for something :p

Have fun with the cut and color! Having my hair played with is one of my favorite ways to spend time :)

I always think it is interesting when outdated laws are edited or repealed. It seems that there should be a process of taking care of these earlier on.

BTW, I am super stoked to see your hair. You better post a picture A-freakin'-SAP so I can eyeball the shit out of it.

It is always fun to get a new cut and color. I miss having long hair right now, because I get lazy with my hair styles when it is humid.

LOL at the Parisian law! I guess they've been digging into their clothing laws since they've banned the face veil.
