Velvet

I really wanted to wear this vintage velvet jacket that I picked up in Edmonton but it is just too damn hot here in New Haven so I opted to split the difference and snap some outfit shots indoors before losing the jacket and hitting the streets.

blouse: Gap / jacket: Decadence / shoes: Tory Burch / jeans: Express / necklace: Laila Rowe

I'm in the George Costanza school of thought in regards to velvet - "I would drape myself in velvet, if it were socially acceptable" Gorgeous! It's too bad it's too hot for the luxurious fabric.

You have some of the prettiest clothes! I love that jacket too, but it is definitely too hot here for a jacket too.

this is such a great look! I love your little fats. And I think you've inspired me to cut my hair! It's a little longish lately and I'd love to cut it to about your length!

That top is gorgeous! I really love the sleeves. You totally rock that jacket! Doesn't it TOTALLY suck that you can't wear jackets in the humid, hot, gross summer?!? Why must summer exist?!

Looks great .... yeah, even in summer. I have a crop velvet jacket that is like 15 yrs old and wear it in winter with Leather pants, its my fav winter outfit (will post it when we get to it). Velvet is the always 'classy' fabric. and the style of yours is beautiful.
