Anxiety

This is what I wore for my recent hugely important (and hugely anxiety inducing) presentation in front of a history colloquium here. I think you can sort of see the panic in my face ... I'm thinking about bolting.

This is one of my favorite academic outfits – I feel both comfortable and authoritative in it and, to my mind, nothing says “I mean business” like a blazer.

dress: Target / blazer: F21 / boots: Kohls

I'm posting on the brilliant Haider Ackermann over on Facebook today so check it out and "like" Sartorial Sidelines while you're there.

i love those rolled up sleeves, such a cute detail with that shade of...is it pink? No more anxiety Courtney, xmas is in the air and it's time for kicking back and forgetting about "must dos" and any conferences, lectures, etc ;)

You do not look scared at all! You look pretty and confident. I think this is the perfect academic outfit, and the necklace adds just the right amount of glitz.
