Geek Chic

Consider this my fond farewell to Yale’s many libraries, each more gorgeous than the last.

As you may have guessed, I am a library enthusiast. Dewey Decimal organized or Library of Congress, I love them all. And my research as an academic involves a lot of libraries and archives. I've worked in such temples of knowledge as the British Library and the Library of Congress but Yale's many research libraries will always have a special place in my heart. Not only did I do a ton of research for my dissertation within these walls but I also mostly wrote the book here and also held a part time as a cataloguing assistant for 5 years in this place. I will miss it.

I always miss Yale when I see it captured in your outfit pics! I'll be honest, I didn't go to the libraries that often but I always appreciated their beauty!

Ahhhh bowties are so rad! Love this look! And, I actually shot outfit photos in a library back in Portland when I wore a bowtie. Books and bowties are a perfect pair! ;)

I miss working in libraries. If I got an offer to be an eternal student, I would take it just so I could study in libraries forever. For realz. And I totally love the bowtie.

I enjoy visiting libraries quite often. People forget that it's filled with great and free info for researching. I love a good bow tie.

I love your take on the British boy rocker look! It's hard to say good bye to amazing research libraries, but at least you did it in style!

The building in the first picture is absolutely stunning. The architecture is amazing. That blue top is beautiful on you and I love your adorable bowtie. Goodbyes are so sad.

I didn't know you were a cataloging assistant! It's part of my current job and I'm in my last semester of Library School! I can't even imagine how beautiful and expansive their libraries are!
