Day to Night

I love how easily this dress transitions from day to night – with these cut out sleeves all I have to do is pop off my requisite work blazer or cardigan and, BLAMO, party time. It’s just that easy folks.

The dress is definitely a potential New Years Eve outfit option as well...although I don't imagine I'll be doing much of anything exciting this year. I start teaching on Wednesday and am boarding a plane to New Orleans at midnight on Wednesday night and just feel like I have one thousand and one things to get done before that all happens so my night this evening may consist of popcorn, a bottle of bubbly, and writing a lecture on the history of Mughal India. Yup, good times.

What are your New Years Eve plans?

Perfect day to night ensemble! You have a whirlwind of a week- best of luck to your first day. It's hours before New Years and I'm still figuring out what to do but spending time on the couch in my house is looking good right now

I really love the color of that dress! Good luck at the AHA! I imagine we'll have a very low-key celebration tonight since we spent 14+ hours in airports and on planes yesterday and are a bit jet lagged to boot. Maybe I'll put on something sparkly to feel a little festive.

I love that dress. The cut outs are great and it looks so professional with a blazer.

oh poopy! We had a really low key NYE staying in with friends and consuming too much booze. Wait, there's no such thing.

I love this dress! The color is so lurvely and you look so tall in that last photo!

I think this is a great look for NYE, you are the queen of the well fitting blazer! Congrats on starting teaching, break a leg! You look stunning as always and I adore that view behind you. Happiest 2013.

Happy New Year! My evening also involv popcorn and bubbly, fancy that :) I absolutely love this dress - it works so perfectly with the blazer, but then when you take it off, it's like a completely different outfit. And the colour is stunning.
