Beating the Heat

This was a look from a few weeks back when Edmonton got hit with really high temperatures and a pretty healthy dose of humidity (so, basically, it was hellish for me and I spent the better part of three days being incredibly cranky and uncomfortable). It's weird looking back these now because it's deliciously chilly and crisp out now.

But I digress, this is me trying to beat the heat. And while the colour palette is dark this top and pants are both made from really lightweight and very breathable fabric and so I did manage to stay moderately cool. Take that summer!

pants: RW Winter and Co / top: Express / sandals: Spring / necklace: Simons

In other news, I attended another show at Western Canadian Fashion Week.

Bano eeMee, Suka Clothing, and LUXX Ready-to-Wear all put on inspired shows. Suka was especially stunning (long live harness-esque details!).

I'm so glad the heat and humidity are done for this year - knock on wood - bring on the Autumn! I love your shoes!

I am so glad that the humidity is done, my body cannot handle it! This is a great simple look for the heat though :)

I always love that color on you! :D And yea, we had a bit of a heat wave too, but now we're into the lovely Fall weather :)

I believe fall has officially begun. I love the small details of this outfit, the jewellery suits this so well. Happy Monday. xx/Madison

Love your hair! And loving the blue tones in this outfit. I feel your pain about the heat...I'm a pain in the ass most of the year because I'm in Florida :)

I'm really loving that calming blue color on you! And that shirt looks so lightweight and easy.

Fall heatwaves are the worst - don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of the rain storms we've been having, either, but at least I get to wear my sweaters! I think you did a lovely job with this look, though, the blue shades are gorgeous together.
