Playing Hooky

Nothing beats getting home early from work so that it’s still daylight!!! It was a slow day and I had no meetings scheduled for the afternoon so I slipped out a little early. It’s a small victory, but a meaningful one nonetheless. And it affords me an extra hour in the day to snuggle up in my cozy sweater with a good book and do a little reading.

dress: Simons / cardigan: ModCloth / belt: Mexx / necklace: Monserat de Lucca

Woohoo for daylight photos! It's a glorious thing, isn't it? Ha ha. I love slipping out of work early, although for me the most I get is 10 minutes

You got home during daylight hours in January? I am suitably impressed - and very envious! And what better way to take advantage than to curl up with a cosy sweater and a good book :)

I love days like that ... and it sounds like you were able to get cosy in style. I love the knit cardigan. x/Madison

Life is made up of all the small victories. They get us through our days and give us something to smile about.

Glad you were able to take advantage of your 'stolen' daylight.
