This week on All the Frills I’m featuring my favourite necklace, this lovely (and vaguely creepy) golden bird skull number by Monserat de Lucca that I picked up via Shopbop several years ago. I’ve seen a lot of similar necklaces over the years but I love the design and make of this one – the skull is actually fairly weighted but still looks delicate and the chain is a lengthy one so it sits fairly low.

Do you have any favoured pieces of jewelry that you keep returning to again and again?

Just when i thought keeping an urn of ashes was creepy, some has to to and throw it out there that they would like the skin of their deceased loved one to bind a book.

Loved the fashion of the future... not really too far off.

I wish I had put a funny quote in my year book,
Wait... I don't think we even did quotes. Who can remember, it was 10 years ago and I haven't looked at it since.

I love this necklace. I've been coveting one for myself for a while now (probably because of you) but haven't found one that really calls out to me yet!

Vaguely creepy, perhaps, but also kind of awesome. And as for Jem... When I was five, my greatest ambition was to be her when I grew up!

That human skin binding book is SO creepy. I mean, what. And I love that necklace- I can see it looking so fun layered with other boho necklaces.

I have a bird skull necklace too! I like wearing mine here and there and freaking people out :) but I wear my watch religiously every day. I've had to change out the band three times already because I wear it so much!
