Ode to a Sweater

This sweater, one of my personal favourites, is starting to show its age. The stitching is starting to fall apart, threads are constantly hanging, etc, etc. I’m really hoping I’ll be able to find something similar – the front is faux leather but the back is this really great sort of sheer knit material. It's one of my closet go-tos and I will be very sad to see it go.

This sweater is one of my favourite pieces in your wardrobe, and I always love seeing how you restyle it. I hope you'll be able to find something similar to replace it with!

i always hate when pieces start deteriorating! Maybe you can find it on eBay or poshmark so you can have the same thing! I always find when I know something is on it's way out I wear it less and less because i want to savor it. But then I get sad that I hardly wear it anymore...so annoying!

A piece leaving your closet because it was well loved is a far better scenario than a piece leaving because it was never worn. I'm sure you will find something new to take it's place, because there will always be something new.

It's a shame it's getting worn but it's kind of nice that you're wearing it and treasure it so much that it is being worn until it literally falls apart! I only have a handful of pieces I've done that with!

Hope you are having a lovely week so far :) We have got some autumn weather here at last so I'm excited I've gotten to layer up a little!

Isn't it such a bummer when a much-loved fave starts to show its age? Could you potentially take it to a tailor to shore up those seams...? I just love the mixed textures here!

Hate it when something you love falls apart. I'm currently dealing with a hand bag that was scuffed and don't know what to do with it.
You 've made me wonder if I have a favourite sweater... and I think I don't !
