All the Frills: The Veiled Lady

Shaun and Eleanor (mostly Shaun) gifted me this amazing bust for Mother’s Day. It’s a replica of an iteration of Monti’s Veiled Lady and, I have to say, it fits right in with the rest of my living room décor. I feel like that says something about me….

Weekend Reading:

This sunken medieval Italian village is amazing.

My favourite New York museum, the Frick, has little video tours of all their galleries and a YouTube series called cocktails with a curator where you get a little mini-lecture on a piece in the Frick’s collection. Amazing!

I love a good dictionary fight

Have I invested in a ridiculous number of Bravo-themed face masks? Yes, yes I have.

Now seems like as good a time as any to read about historical pandemics

It's so pretty! It always amazes me how people were able to sculpt fabric out of stone. Just insane talent

It does work so well in your house, what a lovely gift! :)

Although I don't think we don't have Bravo here the idea of a fun face mask sounds really good! We are still not having the mask recommendation here like other states (our only cases last week, 2 of them, where from people entering the state and having to go through mandatory quarantine anyway so they are isolated from everyone). We have brought a few restrictions back though so I think it's only a matter of time before they suggest masks to us to. At the moment I wouldn't feel right wearing a mask as I only really go on the school run and since they are only recommended for sick people for now in my state I don't want them turning my son away thinking I'm sick! (Of course if anyone is sick the whole family has to stay home until they are cleared and places can ask you to leave).

Hope that you had a lovely weekend! :) We had a nice day yesterday at the photo studio picking out some photos after our family photo shoot last week!

Oh my goodness, she is absolutely stunning! I recently added a bust to my home decor collection and honestly? Best decision I've ever made. I know you're going to love this beauty forever.
