All the Frills: Getting Seasonal

I’m officially settling into fall over here, with a fire in the morning while I have my coffee and fairy lights and candles in the evening as I lounge on the couch. It’s the greatest time of the year! How are you settling into fall?

Weekend Reading:

  • This pandemic is going set women back 100 years.

  • I have soooo many thoughts about recent events on my beloved Real Housewives of Potomac and this piece captures many of them brilliantly.

  • The world is a mess right now. Let’s distract ourselves with some royal tiaras

  • Clearly I have some perfumes to try

  • This room of miniatures is amazing. I wonder if I could someday have a space like this?

Woohoo for Fall decor! We don't have much but we got some Halloween decor on clearance last year, haha!

I love all the pretty lights you have around! I was just looking at cute fairy lights in store the other day, tempted to get some for my wardrobe room to increase the pretty factor, haha! :)

Hope you are having a good weekend :)

It's always hard for me to give up warm days of summer, but the cosiness that comes with the fall is just as comforting and amazing <3

I imagine the fireplace is just so cozy during those chilly mornings, most of the time I transition from blanket in bed to coffee in blanket on couch, haha.

Will the destruction of this pandemic never end? I really can't imagine how single mothers are getting through this.

Also if you are going to have a room of miniatures, a high bar has certainly been set!

For me, settling into fall looks not unlike a formal protest against forces I can't control. I hate the darkness and run my Happy Light on a daily basis. I hate the cold but enjoy the novelty of coats and scarves for the first month, before I get bored of them. We typically don't do any seasonal decorating because it feels to me like just another mess to clean up, but with Christmas festivities in groups likely to be cancelled, we are thinking of doing a Christmas tree this year, just so that the holiday doesn't pass completely unnoticed...
