Mr T on Fashion

This may be one of the sunnier things that I’ve seen in a while. Enjoy Martha, “with her mustard shoes and ketchup sash, she’s a real hotdog.” Thank you to Tara for passing the link along – I’m still chuckling and people in the archive are looking at me very suspiciously.

Heavy Metal Archives

NOTE: AFTER THE CATASTROPHIC BLOG PHOTO LOSS OF 2011 THIS IS WHERE I STARTED GOING BACK AND RELOADING PHOTOS TO MY BLOG...I THINK MY ACTUAL FIRST POST ON THE BLOG WAS IN OCTOBER OF 2009 BUT I SIMPLY DIDN'T HAVE DECENT BACK UPS OF THE BLOG MATERIAL DATING BACK THAT FAR SO I'M PICKING IT UP HERE, IN FEBRUARY OF 2010 WHILE I WAS AWAY DOING RESEARCH AT THE HUNTINGTON LIBRARY IN SAN MARINO, CA. IF ANYONE'S EVER CURIOUS ABOUT THOSE WACKY EARLY POSTS, I DO HAVE THE TEXT OF ALL OF THEM (JUST NO PHOTOS) SO DROP ME A LINE AND I'LL FILL YOU IN!

I decided to mix it up a little today and inject a little rock and roll/metal into my archives outing – I paired thrifted jeans with a Sister Sin t-shirt (check em’ out if you haven’t heard them – they’re a female-fronted “old school” metal band from Sweden), and a faux leather jacket which I picked up a few months ago when Macy’s was having a crazy sale.

Then a few days later I remember that the Huntington has these crazy metal-video-from-the-eighties stone chairs in the gardens adjoining the archives and so...viola, I give you the cover of my never to be released metal album!
