Edmonton, Alberta, Canada born and bred, I spent 6 years on the east coast of the US attending grad school at Yale (I have a PhD in history). Now I'm back in Canada (with some extended stops in DC, LA, and London in between), working on my first academic monograph, researching new projects, hitting the conference circuit, picking up the odd teaching gig, and working as the director of a non-profit advocacy group for graduate students.
On this site I share snippets of my personal and professional style as a young professional/academic/historian who is trying to juggle a career and scholarly pursuits.
I like big books and I cannot lie!
