I was smart enough a few weeks ago to take some photos of New Haven all blanketed with ice covered snow…but not smart enough to actually get them off my camera until now. Whateves, I’m trying.
I also found these images from a week or so ago of an outfit I wore to attend the British Historical Studies Colloquium and the dinner following. I think the layered pearl necklace classes the whole thing up a bit and makes it perfect for an academic evening. Fellow academic readers, what’s you’re preferred colloquium style – a bit on the dressier side or jeans and a blouse (which I frequently rock at colloquia)?

Great snow photos! I still can't believe we got more snow.
And I love that necklace! Ties the whole outfit together. I usually go for the blouse and jeans with boots look, but there are times where it's nice to just dress up for these things!

I love the necklace. I feel like I haven't been to one in so long that I don't even know anymore.... Geez.
I would love the snowy pictures more if we hadn't received another 10 inches here on Sunday/Monday.
Gorgeous necklace...and I love these snowy pics....they look like they are off postcards....really great job sweets:)

It must be the season of colloquiums ...
The pictures are gorgeous.
Your outfit seems perfect for this.
Part of the reason I volunteered to present at the colloquium was to help me with my public speaking fear. I figure that I will never get over it if I don't face it.

Loving those pictures. It is so hot an humid here in Miami, that even thinking about wearing anything elegant that stays dry is not an option .... make up? can't even think about that.
I love the whole outfit BUT the shirt is beautiful. I adore the sleeves, very cute.
