Clever Girl

Leather and leopard…what’s not to love? This is a dress that I've layered a loose fitting t-shirt over in order to wear as a skirt. Aren't I a clever one?

In other news, I got my teaching assistant assignment for this coming fall (I start teaching my own junior seminar in January)…Introduction to Ancient Greek History. Now I know a little something about Classical history, I’ve even TAed such a class before while I was earning my MA…of course that was like 8 years ago, but not that much. So it’s going to be a trip. A fun one though.

congrats on the new teaching job!

I agree it's a great combo, but what I really love are the knee high socks and flats. I've been too chicken to try such a thing but I like that they are the same color. It makes it different but safe!
Ancient Greek History...sounds fun!

I do love the abundance of leopard in your closet, and this dress is a nice one, a bit more abstract.

Love this edgy look! And dresses that can be converted to skirts are absolutely the best. So much more versatile.

Good luck with your teaching project, looking very nice here, but you know I adore leopard. Purple and leopard is simply amazing as I love the shade and the print...will we ever get tired of the animal theme? i don't think soooooo ;)

This is definitely a topic that closes to me so I’m happy that you wrote about it. I’m also happy that you did the subject some justice. Not only do you know a great deal about it, you know how to present in a way that people will want to read more. I’m so happy to know someone like you exists on the web

What a spot on quizzical face. I must practice my own in the mirror now. Excuse me ...

that jacket fits you perfectly, and I do commend thee on your clever layering to make a dress a skirt. also, I'm wearing (what I believe to be) the same Target flats as you are in these pictures, ah little coincidences make my freaking day! also, how fun you get to TA for such an interesting class! that sounds like a class students might actually want to attend, unlike what I might have TA'd for (uhh, organic chemistry, ick) but I dodged that bullet and didn't end up having to TA my first year in grad school, woooo hooooo!

Love how you wore the dress as a skirt, it's such a fun and easy way to revamp your wardrobe a bit by creating more styles with what you own!
