It was my second earthquake in 18 months … last February when I was living in LA I was awakened at 3 am by a full on, everything shaking earthquake. It was unsettling then and yesterday it was just odd when the library began shaking and I realized by chair was vibrating. Earthquakes are pretty low on my threat list in Connecticut.
Today I have a very exciting meeting with my adviser planned at 5 pm - I will be unveiling the finished dissertation (okay, not really unveiling because he's already seen most of it but I still plan to throw a flourish and a few "ta das" into it) and then discussing the stressful hell that is the academic job market. Wish me luck!

you look great! PS. So crazy that an earthquake would hit the east coast. I was in the big one back in '89 in California {used to live there}...it was SCARY!! Happy to hear that there wasn't really much damage yesterday.
