Gainfully Unemployed

I can almost not believe that in 8 weeks or so I will be graduating with my PhD – you can’t tell it in these photos but I am walking around with an enormous grin on my face most days.

Even though I am going to be unemployed when I graduate.

Ugh. Okay, that puts a damper on things.

In slightly happier news, a blog look I posted was featured in a fashion  magazine...bizarrely it's a magazine from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, which is about 3 hours away from my hometown of Edmonton. Weird coincidence, no? Check it out here.

Oh I remember the cloud I walked on for the few days after I handed my dissertation to my committee. It was awesome!
Do you do post-docs in your field or go directly to tenure track?

Don't let it worry you - it's an amazing accomplishment and I'm sure you won't be worried for long :)

WOW you must be so proud of yourself- a PhD, what a superb accomplishment (I could only get through 2 weeks of my Masters program!) I love all the details of your outfit (especially those bow earrings) and I'll say it again, blue is a fab colour on you! Don't worry about the jobs, any school would be lucky to have you!
