Day Home Drop Off
Temperatures here are finally approaching something that resembles summer – which means I can ditch warmer coats and sweaters (not to mention boots) for t-shirts, lightweight faux leather jackets, and sneakers. Welcome to my new favourite outfit for dropping off Eleanor at her day home in.

All the Frills: Playroom
So I finally got around to moving all of Eleanor’s larger toys down to the basement and creating a play room space for her (the basement was a logical choice as she’s obsessed with jumping on the couch down there) – I’m pretty pleased with the results and Eleanor is very thrilled!

Happy Leopard
The weather is getting nice here, things are starting to turn green, and I was feeling (dare I say it in this current climate), slightly optimistic. Since animal prints always fill me with a small measure of joy, that seemed a good choice for the day. They also “pop” a bit on my webcam in my endless round of Zoom meetings, so it was a sensible option all around.

A Trip to the Office
So even though I shut down my office quite some ago and got everyone set up to work from home, I still have occasion to venture into that deserted space from time to time to access hard copy files, process various things, etc (a lot of hand washing, avoiding other people who happen to be on campus, and trying to not touch anything unnecessarily also goes on).
This was one of those days. It was also a chance, for the first time in a while to wear some accessories (like a necklace). While I still get up every morning and get fully dressed and take a half assed pass at doing my hair and makeup for the day’s endless Zoom meetings, wearing jewelry was one of the first things I abandoned in this new reality and, I have to admit, it felt weirdly good to wear some again.

An Ode to Costanza
Since I’m going to be working at home for the foreseeable future (even with my province recently announcing a staged reopening plan), I’m 100% leaning hard into velour (like my own personal ode to George Costanza) and it just feels so right for me in these trying times. Now, if only I'd been able get a couple of shots where I was actually looking up. Sigh.

All the Frills: Parure
Following up on the gorgeous Swarovski ring I was recently gifted, today I’m featuring this necklace and ring combo, also from Swarovski. I received the ring first, over the holidays, and then, a couple of months later, the necklace entered my life as an anniversary present. I swear, my helpmeet gets me the most amazing gifts sometimes!

- This gentleman is a social media genius. Sort of.
- We could all use a little chuckle in times like this.
- Vanderpump Rules has my enthusiastic endorsement. While the current season is a snooze, I’m currently rewatching past seasons on my work-from-home lunch breaks and, man, talk about lightening in a bottle.
- If anyone else out there is a Bravo fan and you’re not reading the brilliant Brian Moylen’s recaps over at Vulture then you need to do yourself a favour and get on it.
- Christ. Can we not all just try to maintain a veneer of civility?
