Work these days has been punishing for me – no other good way to describe it than punishing. There are a bunch of legislative changes in the offing where I live that have the potential to have huge ramifications on the structure and daily operations of my organization and result in massive headaches and potential loss of revenue. Not only is that incredibly stressful but the worst part is we don’t know exactly the full scope of the changes (which means the impacts could range from next to nothing to a total overhaul of how we do almost everything) or exactly when the regulations will be released and take effect. So basically I wake up every morning with a sense of impending dread, which then follows me around for the day, and accompanies me to bed. And this situation has been going on for almost a year now – so I’m getting very close to my breaking point! I really need to increase my meditation frequency so I don’t completely lose it. Well, at least I look relatively calm on the outside?

Ooof, girlfriend- I feel you. That is heavy- and it definitely really wears on you over time. I am experiencing something similar at my job- it's a nightmare. :/ But you DO look chic af, so there's that!

Ugh! Why must work be so annoying! My husband took on a new position last year and some weeks it is just killing him because things spiral out of control and it's not his fault yet he has to take the brunt of the annoyance (it's actually his boss/the owner of the company causing the problems. Piling on more videos for them to do when they can barely finish the usual workload)

that statement necklace is so pretty with the neckline of the dress!
Sorry to hear things are so stressful though - I hope that they do firm up the new legislation soon and give you all time to implement it so that you don't have to worry about it much longer without knowing what's coming, that would be insanely stressful!
Hope that you had a great weekend and were able to switch off from work :)

I feel for you. I truly do. Legislative changes are a nightmare for just so many reasons, and feeling a sense of impending dread related to them (or to other work changes I have no control over) is something I'm all too familiar with... which is why I'm late commenting here! Hoping that by now, things have calmed down for you a bit or at least you have some clarity around what's to come.
xox,

I can't imagine having to go through that for the last year and not have any end in sight! I'm sure it's hard enough when working from home to mentally leave work at the end of the day, and this situation has clearly made it impossible! I hope things come to a head soon and you can figure out how to deal with things and move on!
