Stupid Library Summer Hours

I came all the way down to the library this morning to work on my 62 reels of microfilm only to discover that the microfilm reading room was on summer hours and closed on Saturdays. So instead I decided to be all stealthy and get some shots of the library’s gorgeous reading room on my laptop’s built-in camera. It really is an amazing library. I’ve also included a few older, better photos that were actually taken with a real camera.

Here's some better ones that I've taken over the years with an actual camera.

This is gorgeous, I am so jealous! The library at my uni is really modern and boring.

wow I wish the library I go to was like that. I wish more architecture was jaw-droppingly gorgeous like that!

We're keeping gothic architecture alive and well - just because the Middle Ages (Hell, even the gothic revival) is over, doesn't mean imposing facades with the potential of lurking gargoyles has to end!

Wow, this really is incredible!!! What a fantastic place. I would spend all of my time there, I seriously love libraries. Great post! I'm sorry that the summer hours disrupted your fun though.
By the way, quiche is easy to make. You just have to trust that after 30ish minutes (with the small ones like I made) that it is done because it will look juicy. Just stick a fork in and if it comes out clean (or mostly clean) are you fine!

I just got back from the market with all the stuff needed to make quiche! I'm so excited and hopeful that I don't screw it up (I'm pretty horrible in the kitchen) - I'll let you know how they turn out.

Those were the days. Don't forget shopping at Le Chateau. Do they still have those in Edmonton?
