Get Your Sequins On

I got me some shiny new shoes! Two of my favorite things, the color black and sequins, have come together in these lovely little flats. I was also cleaning out my jewelry and realized that my bird necklace had fallen behind my dresser (you know you have too many necklaces when one goes missing and you don’t even notice for like a month) – so it’s been rescued and can now reappear in my outfit posts!

I also have another video review ready for you, this time on dry shampoo (which I actually recorded pre-Christmas and then totally forgot about. I’m just dropping the ball over the place this year).

it's so hard for me to find a dry shampoo, with dark hair and all.
i can't wait to try.

haha losing jewelry is the worst, but i'm glad you found that! i don't have a lot of jewelry (because a. i'm picky and b. ain't got no money), so i usually notice immediately if i can't find something.

anyway, love that tee! white and that light pink stripes are awesome, cause it's a girly-ish color combo, but it's still spunky with the stripes!

Those shoes are awesome!

I haven't ever used dry shampoo, but I'm tempted to give it a shot. So I could only wash my hair every third day instead of every other one. Maybe I'll test out plain cornstarch this weekend....

Oh, video posts are so much fun! Can you believe I've never tried dry shampoo? Probably would be good for my color treated hair to get a break. xo

Batiste was the first dry shampoo I've ever tried and so far it's my favorite. I found it at Sally Beauty Supply store. I tried pssst! and it did nothing for me. Tresemme actually works a bit better on my thin hair. I read Oscar Blandi dry shampoo is great but too expensive for me.

Love the necklace!

I'm also a big fan of sequins, especially vintage so they are a bit faded.
Love the bird necklace!

Those flats are super cute, where are they from? Also, I'm so glad you were able to rescue your birdie necklace! :)

The flats were a Target score...as was the feathered wreath (it was marketed as a Halloween decoration but I loved it so much that I bought to hang in my bedroom all year long).

Cute flats!
I've never actually tried dry shampoo...but understood the mechanism of the product a little better once you mentioned the main ingredient being corn starch..and while I haven't tried the starch directly I do use a another product for the same effect: baby powder. I'm not sure how it would work on dark hair types. My hair is very much like yours Courtney; fine, but a lot of it! I also have dry skin so washing it daily isn't a good idea for me. I just use a little baby powder in my bangs and occasionally against my roots and then rub it in and blow dry it through so it blends.

Such cute flats. I've never been able to figure out how to use dry shampoo but maybe I will try this.

Oh the shoes are super cute!
I have been wanting to try a dry shampoo - but I've always been concerned about whiteness showing in my dark hair.

Oh, and I don't think you need the WWW.

Thanks for the review. Dry shampoo is one of those mysterious products to me ... what to do with it?!
