The Disappearing Wives of Henry VIII

Sometimes there’s not enough coffee in the world to motivate me for a day of sitting in the library and writing all day. But I am cheered up by a dress with a bow, a dash of leopard print (what else?) and my disappearing six wives of Henry VIII coffee mug (as the contents of the mug cools, the images of Catherine, Anne, Jane, Anne, Catherine, and yet another Catherine fade).

Of course I’ll still waste at least an hour of my day online shopping. Today it’s Ruche and these are the items I’m crushing on.

Girl on the Go Black Tie Shorts

Bow From My Beau Ring

oh em gee, woman, i want to be your shopping buddy! that or someone you'd allow to raid your closet -_-. That dress is super cute with the cardi and the bow. I ♥ bows. If bow was a person, i'd marry it. (I said the same thing about meat yesterday) You are making me regret being lazy today and not dressing up for writing at the library. boo to me, yay to you.

Ugh. You're library ratting it up? Gross. I hate those days. You need coffee. LOTS of coffee.
Make time to online shop. That always helps. :)

I toast you with my Velázquez Las Meninas coffee cup. I hope you get over your writer's block soon! I seem to be more or less back to normal - am working on a research presentation today - but will have to spend some time grading later this afternoon. That will no doubt result in more hurty brain syndrome.

Those paperbag shorts are so cute! I want a pair. Also, I JUST mixed bows and leopard print in a display at work yesterday. It's a great combo.

I know you said you're not super into surrealism but you may recognize the following image from an Alkaline Trio shirt/poster:

http://paulocoelhoblog.com/images/image-of-the-day/semainedebonte2.jpg

It was done by Max Ernst (one of my favorite artists). It's from the book Une Semaine de Bonté. The entire book is made from collages from Victorian encyclopedias. As a librian I thought you might like to have a look.

I know well that there are days in which it' impossible to do anything costructive!!! In those days i realizate my posts because there's no way to get concentrate on studing -.-' ! For exemple few days ago i took my sister as model and we started to put on old items and new pieces and we had a lot of fun! But then we had to study very hard in the evening !!!!!
