I Choo Choo Choose You

Happy Valentine’s everybody! For your viewing pleasure I give you a few choice Valentines themed images from my weheartit archive and some lovely vintage Valentines courtesy of the library at West Virginia University.

I’m going to be honest with you, my helpmeet and I actually don’t really celebrate Valentine’s. We started dating and later got married in February so we just sort of roll all those mushy times into one day and this year we’ve decreed that day to be the 25th and we’ll be staying in and cooking a nice dinner and renting a movie. But just because I don’t have any Valentine’s plans doesn’t mean I can’t dream about what I wear for a romantic night on the town. So what are your Valentine’s plans?

Ha, we were very romantic and ordered a curry to have at home last night ;) I would hate going out to a restaurant for Valentine's Day!

Those photos are great!! Too cute.

My boyfriend and I don't really celebrate either... he came to visit this weekend and we just watched a movie and drank wine... perfect night!

I adore that red lace dress though!

Happy Valentines day. Adored those valentines post cards ... so different from what we see today. I would drop dead if I get one of those.
I also had a crush on the Giambattista Valli coat (of course its only $3,500.00) need the thrifty version.
enjoy the day.

So long as there's chocolate I'm good to go. I love that first pic you showed. Are those cookies??

Chef's got something up his sleeve which is very unlike him. We don't really do the whole valentine thing (except we act like 12 yr olds and call each other valentine in public for the entire weekend while people look at us like morons)...this year he told me the following: be here at 7. you'll pee your pants. don't even ask. you've never had any of it.

Um, a chocolate chicken?

xo,
C
