I’m trying to make the best of the fact that it rained ice pellets last week (seriously) with a calming outfit filled with nudes and camel tones against a black backdrop (with a touch of leopard print and some gold sequins).

I’m also loving the idea of clothes as decorations – there’s something so bohemian and interesting about a room with spacious windows and a few bits of lacy, delicate, and sheer clothing artfully strewn about.

I did my Masters work on Queen Anna of Denmark and the roles and representations of women at the Jacobean court

My PhD dissertation (which is currently almost 200 pages long, thank you very much) is entitled “Honor and Reputation Among the Early Modern English Elite, 1530-1630

I am a social historian with a special interest in women and gender

I can read French, Spanish, Italian, and Latin

In order to research my dissertation I spent close to year working in archives in Washington DC, California, and all over England

I love when animals attack movies (Anacondas in a particular favorite)

I am a HUGE coffee drinker…HUGE
