I love that ModCloth Maxi, but I'm holding strong with my shopping ban, so I'll have to make do with the one Maxi dress currently in my closet.
That Asos dress with the embellished neck is my favorites.
If I wore maxi dresses, I would use all of your guidelines because you are an absolute genius.
But I don't.
Because they look stupid on me.
Trust me, I have tried them on.

Great tips...this post really shows how versatile a maxi dress is! I'm now lusting over that yellow dress in the first set.
I am loving maxis and even though I'm short I plan on rocking them! I love them with wedges or a blazer like you suggested. Good luck with the move- I'm helping a good friend move (not my fave thing to do!)

I love the maxi from asos with the embellished neck! I bought a couple of maxi's when I was in Arizona. I wear maxi's more than I wear shorts in the summer, they're just so comfortable!
