Hard and Soft

I love the mixture of hard and soft created with a full skirt (in my signature leopard print of course) and a faux leather jacket.

Also, in unrelated but huge news, I designed a course on women in early modern England and, in their infinite wisdom, the history department selected it to be taught as a junior seminar! So this gal is going to be teaching her very own class at Yale!!!! I'm seriously over the moon about this!!!! In the fall I will be serving as a Teaching Fellow as usual but, come Spring 2012, I will be teaching a seminar I've designed entitled Queens and Commoners, Witches and Scolds, Godly Women and Whores: Women, Politics and Society in Early Modern England. Sounds saucy, no?

That jacket is the shiznit. I'm imagining you strutting authoritively (but approachably) around the Yale campus in this ensemble, the quintessential badass-lady professor.

On the outfit: I love the skirt!! It's such a great shape, and the more conservative length and cut is a nice contrast to the leopard.

On the news: Holy crap!! HOW AMAZING. You are a total rockstar. I'm sure you are going to excel as a teacher. Cheers to you!
