Teaching Threads

I snagged this skirt at Target for $7. How could I not invest in it (the pattern is ever so cute and I love the waistband detail)? Also, pop a structured black blazer over this and I am all set to teach in style. Having spent the past year and a half traveling, doing archival work, and writing my dissertation either at home or in the bowels of the library, I really need to start thinking about my teaching wardrobe in advance of this fall…

skirt: Target / necklace: ModCloth / shirt: can’t recall / boots: Kamik, Olivia model / tights: Target

Also, am I nuts or is this possibly the cutest clutch ever?

Totally unrelated, but today is May 19...which the historian in my remembers is the day, in 1536, that Anne Boleyn, possibly the most famous wife of Henry VIII, was beheaded. So here's a link back to a post that I did last year on this. And while I was going back and looking for this post, I found this other one from last May which features some pretty cool photos I snapped of the Yale library. So for all you library fans, check this out!

That skirt is such a great find! So versatile!

I love that clutch too. It's like the signature McQueen clutch with a vintage-y boho twist!
