Let's Hit the Books

Yesterday was back to school for me – I attended the first lecture for the class I’m serving as a Teaching Fellow for, the History of Ancient Greece. Sections (this is where, once a week, the students move into smaller groups of 10 or so and meet for a seminar style hour long discussion led by a Teaching Fellow) won’t start up until next week so I haven’t my students yet but I’m hard at work designing my lesson plans. I love this time of year!

pants: Target / tank: F21 / blazer: H&M / purse: H&M / wedges: Steve Madden / watch: “borrowed” from my helpmeet / necklace: the Met / sunglasses: Target

And, for anyone interested in some back to school shopping, Eshakti is offering readers of Sartorial Sidelines $20 on their awesome selection of clothes. Just enter the code SARTORIAL0811 at checkout! The offer is good until September 15 … happy shopping!

Love your hair like this, Courtney! Lotta texture and volume!

Oh how I miss classes. I was getting weary of it last year, but now that I'm not in school, I definitely MISS it. :(

Stealing the man's watch...I never thought to do that! Totally snagging his tomorrow, though ;)

Good luck with you TA-ing! I'm sure you'll be fabulous, so unlike all of my past teachers. I had one who would always give us the wrong answers...

Hi! I got here via Marvelous Things! Read your comment about the vegan cheese, I'm looking for it but haven't found it yet! I need to substitute my cheese cravings so I'm determined to find it!

Nice wedges and purse, I wish I had stylish teachers!

Hey just dropping by to say that I tried out soy cheese! I was at my cousins house yesterday and her mum had some in the fridge! I must say it was yukky! I think it takes time to get used to it. It tastes soo different! It does taste familiar, a bit like the vegan ham I use for my sandwiches.

I can understand that the substitute wouldn't cut it for cheese cravings with wine involved!

Why did you went vegan? So you're a year vegan now with some indulgences here and there? I would be happy if I would last a month! That's my goal now. I did 7 days before. I think it was pretty hard. But now it seems easier. I found out I have lactose intolerance so I should cut back on dairy anyway!
