Thrifted Plaids

I snapped up this awesome skirt (well, technically it’s a skort, which makes it even better in my book) on a recent trip to Value Village. I think it’s the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe – especially paired with a sheer pussy bow blouse. It's also a good fit for my agenda today because I'm meeting with someone about picking up a teaching job at a local university this afternoon and feel appropriately academic in this.

skirt: Tan Jay, thrifted / top: ModCloth / tank top: Joe Fresh / glasses: Clearly Contacts / shoes: Spring / watch: Kenneth Cole / bracelet: ASOS / tights: Target

Is that your place? it looks so airy and suburban (in a good way of course, i am not a snob)

Can't go wrong with a nicely patterned skort!

I like your "when all else fails, go plaid" mentality. Gorgeous top and bracelets!

Good luck today.

This outfit is so very academically chic! I love the plaid skirt a lot! and who would have thought pairing it with a sheer pussybow (srsly we still sticking to that name?) is SHEER genius!

Your plaid skirt is so cute! Also, from what I can see of your place in the background, it looks pretty awesome!

That is a great plaid skirt. I think it's pretty ballsy to go sheer for an academic interview, though. I hope that it went well. Would the class(es) start this term?

I have the twin spiked gold bracelets but mine are from Aldo! LOVE the skort (didn't know those were still kicking around!) and the sheer blouse is so versatile.

I love your skort! Most of the one's I find are too short, but that one is just lovely. And your styling is perfect.

Gorgeous silhouette. Love the severity. I hope you have many occasions to opt for plaid. I've been reaching for it a lot lately, too.

Wow...there is not one thing about this outfit that I don't love! I'd wear every bit of it in a heartbeat. And you look marvelous. And academic at the same time.

Can't wait to wear black tights again...still a bit warm for them where I am, but I love black tights! And those SHOES.

Yep, love it all.

Hope you'll stop by my blog and say hello! :)
