Let's Get Nuts

Big news! The helpmeet and I invested in a new car! Even though it’s only been a year since we picked up our awesome 2003 Ford Focus (I call her DMC, for Driving Miss Courtney), now that I’m learning to drive I find mastering standard insanely hard (I can do it but not well and just don’t see myself ever really feeling confident as a driver in a standard) and so we did a little sleuthing and found that, with the deal my helpmeet can get through work and the trade in value of our current car we can get a pretty new automatic at an AMAZING price. In celebration of this discovery, I donned what I’ve taken to referring to as my “party-times” shirt. Don’t ask.

shirt: ASOS / blazer: BB Dakota / jeans: Urban Outfitters / sunglasses: Aldo / shoes: Zigi SoHo via Nordstrom Rack

So standard is what you call a manual or a stick-shift? Yeah, they are hard to drive.

P.S. -- let me get that deer shirt! :)

Congrats on the car! I can't drive a stick shift, I tried to learn but I'm much more comfortable driving standard so kudos to you!

hooray, yo! I have only driven stick once, and got in on the first try. Though I wouldn't push my luck and try it again. Automatic is so much easier!
LOVE that top!
