I have a section of my closet that I call “purgatory.” Essentially, it’s where I move things that I’m contemplating passing on to someone else and, based on a rule that I’ve arbitrarily created and imposed, things live for about six months and then, if they’re not worn in that time period, off they go.
This blouse lived there for a while but I decided to pull it out and wear it. And, having done that, I think I’ll put it back into the regular rotation section of my closet. I sort of forgot how much I like it…

Closet purgatory is such a clever idea, actually - I never thought of separating out things I'm thinking of getting rid of but in a way that would still allow me to see them and consider wearing them. I think this blouse was definitely deserving of the retun to regular rotation, the colour is perfect on you!

My closet has its own little purgatory too. That top is very pretty. I love the color.
I have a similar section to my closet! I try to clean out a few times a year, and if I still don't pull items from that section I know they have to go.

Wow, thats awfully organised of you. Its a great idea, I keep all my maybes in there with the rest of them, but I bet if I sectioned it off at least half would be in purgatory...yikes!

I do that too, I don't have a set amount of time, but I will just throw things in a plastic bag and put them in another room. Once in a great while I'll go back for something. Glad you've rediscovered the blouse, it's a fabulous color!

Haha, I love the name 'purgatory' for it! I never thought it of it that way... I definitely understand though, I love when I find something I forgot about!
So glad you've taken it out of limbo! (Though is that hell?) and now it's back in heaven/hell of your closet! Yay!
