The Plaids Have It

My parents recently returned from a vacation in Hawaii (they visit once a year or once every two years and rent a condo there for 4-6 weeks….sounds pretty grand, doesn’t it?) with this adorable plaid, pleated dress as a gift for me. It’s pretty perfect for work – good length, very comfy – and I think it will also be really good for conferences, of which I have a few upcoming. Wouldn’t you want to see me give a paper about servants and their mistresses in early modern England in this little number?

dress: gifted / boots: Geox via Value Village / cardigan: Target / sunglasses: Aldo

Great dress! And yes, your parent's trip sounds amazing. Though we just got back from Hawaii so I can't complain :)

Martin's parents have the same Hawaii ritual... it really does sound fabulous, doesn't it?! And your plaid dress is fantastic! Love the fit and those boots are a dream! xo

What a fun dress! I love the way the pleats start subtly at the top of the waist band but are full on and swingy by the time you get to the bottom of the skirt. So pretty.
