The jacket was not really actually a part of this outfit in that I just tossed it on before we raced out for dinner with friends because it was freezing outside and I actually left it in the car when we got to the restaurant (like I say, it was not intended to be part of the outfit). Trust me, the whole thing is much cuter without the jacket…sorry!

Reality happens sometimes - I hate to admit it but when we take outfit photos on holidays, the first few shots almost always show me in flats (because while I love heels, I'm not a sap, walking in them for eight hours just isn't possible.) I most often carry a spare pair of shoes but sometimes I forget and the result is not as cute, but, well, that's life. Sometimes we have to wear things that are practical. Plus, all anyone sees in these photos are those fabulous plaid pants ;)
