Adulting

I wore this recently to the bank to review my retirement savings plan (which, incidentally, is in pretty decent shape - and I'm glad for that because I don't have a pension plan through work so that whole thing is all on me). Is it weird that I always feel like an appointment at the bank entails a blazer?

Love that blazer!! Such a great color.
Yay for your retirement being in a good place. I just have an IRA for now since I work for myself, haha.

Yay! for being so organised, I have friends who live day by day when it comes to finances and just thinking about it terrifies me.
I can totally understand why a blazer would be suitable for a bank visit :)

Love the deep blue + black together- and yes, I feel the same way about bank appointments. Bring on the blazers!

Oh retirement savings, definitely not my favourite subject. I'm lucky to have a pension plan so I don't have to worry nearly as much - I can't imagine how it is for anyone who doesn't, so much stress! As for bank appointments, I always find it sort of shocking how poorly dressed bank employees are in Vancouver, so I haven't bothered trying to look the part for a long time now :P

I think getting dressed up for the bank is a thing, or at least it was a thing, before people stopped getting dressed up for everything. Good for you on keeping your retirement fund in good shape! After I lost my last job I stopped contributing to my 401k I had with them and now I really need to go to the bank and ask them how to get the money into an account I can contribute to again.
