And Now, New Years

Following up with my theme of being totally behind on things, let's take belatedly about New Years.

I had an unusually eventual New Years this year. Usually I keep things pretty low key and oftentimes either don’t go out at all in favour of a great bottle of wine at home or I just venture over to a friend’s place. But this year the helpmeet and I got dolled up and treated ourselves to dinner at a fancy restaurant. Then we came home, changed into more casual wear, and headed out to meet friends for a celebration involving some great musical acts and a bit of champagne. I may have done more living on New Years than I did in the rest of 2016….

Oh wow, seems like the last day of the year was "the day".
You look impeccable and I am admiring the asymmetric dress, I do not think I had seen it before.
Of course the choice of accessories ... and I cannot take my eyes off the green emerald ring.

I'm loving all the tough jewelry elements in the second look- and that tunic in the first is really fun! Glad you had a good NYE, lady!

Love this! The one sleeve shirt is so cool! And yep, this NYE I did more than I've ever done in the past too, usually it's movies at home, haha

Wow, that sounds like a seriously eventful NYE! We celebrated as usual this year with my best friend, champagne and pizza - we were definitely in our casual wear, but it was exactly what I like in an NYE celebration. That said, my outfit was nothing exciting and I love the pop of neon on black in your first outfit, black and neon yellow is one of those rare colour combinations I really love, but somehow I had forgotten about it until seeing in this post.

Well even if you crammed all your living into the last few hours of 2016, at least you lived! And had a fabulous outfit to do it in. Usually I'm alone on the couch for NYE, but this year an old friend was in town, so we went out to dinner and she found us a party to crash. Sean even raced there from work (an hour drive) to make it just under the wire to give me my new years kiss.
