All the Frills: Black Beauty

I’m something of a bibliophile and always on the lookout to add various volumes to my collection. A nice copy of a childhood favourite, Anna Sewell’s Black Beauty (which, to this day, makes me sob when I read it) has been on my hit list for a while so I was pretty pleased to recently find this edition on one of semi-regular excursions to some local second-hand book shops. Does anyone else collect books?

Ooh that's so cool!
I collect books, but rare Harry Potter ones ;) Although I'm on the hunt for a rare/pretty edition of The Last Unicorn (but they're always too expensive!)

Nice find - I do appreciate an old book.
Glad to hear that Gin isn't going anywhere - G&T my go-to when I need to order something at a bar without a menu, just as long as they don't ask me what brand I want.

What a beautiful old copy of Black Beauty! There really is something so magical about old books - to this day, the hotel I've loved the most that I've ever stayed in was the one that had old copies of Alexandre Dumas books in the room; that was all I needed to see to fall in love with the place completely.

I do not collect books, but I do collect stamps and anything and everything related to the PPIE 1915 in San Francisco and the Panama Canal...
