Weekend Reading:
- Anyone want to live in Grey Gardens?
- A friend of mine is in this movie (and that’s HUGE and I am beyond happy for him) but it also legitimately seems bad. Really bad. He's aware ... and I hope he gets crazy famous as a result of being in it.
- This piece concerning people’s antiquated opinions about women taking a spouse’s name is depressing.
- An awful but important read concerning the reporting of rape in Canada.
- This article on the ordinary Americans who committed inhumane acts in the enforcement of Trump’s Executive Order concerning travel is a good read.
- The gendered constraints of hair removal.

Yes. Yes to Grey Gardens - I mean, without all of the weirdness that happened there that resulted in a really bad movie ;) Also, when it comes to decor, if you know what you like, I see no reason not to stick with it - and deer clearly work for you!

Interesting reads... I don't think I'd change my name if I got married, so much of my life is established under my name, so many things already monogrammed, and when I think about taking a name that is an indicator of an ethnicity that I biologically have no part of, it makes me feel like I'd be a fraud, like the episode of Seinfeld, "the Chinese woman".
I'm in for Grey Gardens...I'll bring the pate for the cats.
