Makeshift Maternity Wear

I am totally smitten with this pleated dress I picked up from ModCloth. It’s not actually a maternity dress but I got in it size XL and then added this tie to fashion it into a maternity piece…and I love it! I also think it will be great for wearing now that the baby (BTW, we named her Eleanor Elizabeth Medea) – just because it’s very loose and flowy and oh so comfy.

dress: ModCloth / leggings: ASOS / jacket: Joseph Ribkoff / necklace: Stella and Dot / shoes: Target / sunglasses: Aldo

I love how you got creative with regular clothing and made it into maternity wear. I've always felt like maternity wear was not practical economically since pregnancy is such a finite period of time in your life, so coming up with ways to turn regular clothes into maternity wear is really the only way to go from where I'm sitting.

I'm glad you made this dress work because the color is fabulous on you, and I do LOVE the name you chose for your daughter!
