All the Frills: Progressive Books

I am so stoked about Eleanor’s awesome book collection (these photos are just a snippet - some of the titles are obviously geared for babies and toddlers, others will be for when she's a bit older - and I've got a ton more like this).

Oh my, so much wrong going on in the world right now.
The crowdfunding for health care is just awful. and it's horrible that I have to acknowledge charitable giving has become a popularity contest. If we have the money to donate thousands to some people, how can we not figure out real, actual, affordable health care for everyone?

I've also heard a lot of very mixed things about Feminist Baby. I haven't read it myself, but I'm curious about your thoughts.

Yayyy for lots of books to expand her mind!
And everything going on right now is insanity, I can't believe how much worse it gets every day.

I liked the books but couldn't click through to most of the links as you're right, they are so very sad. There is so much bad things going on in the world. But we have an opportunity to change that every day, with the way we raise our kids to just showing a little more kindness to everyone. i try focus on the positives like that :)

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend! Another extreme weather weekend here. So hot, we are staying near the air conditioner.

I didn't think I'd have such a strong reaction to seeing these books, but it took me right back to the school library when I was about nine. We had gotten a beautiful new illustrated history book in and I realised, appalled for the first time, that there was not a single woman featured in it. It was a sad moment and one that I'm glad Eleanor and her generation will be less likely to have to face.
