All the Frills: Velvet Crush

2018 is the year that I get more velvet things into my closet. I’m going to start with these little gems found on the ModCloth website. Do you have any style resolutions this year?

Getting more velvet into your closet is an excellent New Year's resolution. As for me, I want this to be the year I add more reasonably comfortable walking shoes to my wardrobe. I walk everywhere. In heels. And living somewhere icy and snowy, that's starting to feel a bit ridiculous.

Right there with you. LOVE velvet!! I added velvet loafers to my closet in 2017 and now I'm on the hunt for a velvet midi dress, or pencil skirt. Plus, am smitten with Rebecca Minkoffs velvet crossbody bags too. So pretty!! xo

Oh my, Florida had a rough year. Lots of issues with fast food too...

I think more velvet is a great resolution, probably the best one I've heard yet!

I love that you have a fabric based New Years goal. I also think I need more velvet in my wardrobe, specifically that second dress!

My love of velvet is such that even though I live in a country with NO WINTER I own shoes, blazers, bags, trousers and dresses in this fabric ;)
SO I can totally relate !!
My closet goals are simple for this year: stay within budget, do a shopping ban and get rid of a specific amount of garments.
