Weekend Reading:
- Finally, a chip as dainty as I am.
- Want to be both saddened and filled with rage?
- The Huntington Library has acquired a wonderful collection of antique Valentines. This is such a coincidence because one of my very early blog posts was about this very collection and I posted it while I was living in California and working as a researcher at the Huntington for several months as I plowed away at my dissertation. Obviously the Huntington did not yet own the collection.
- Ah, my beloved Vanderpump Rules. Like Gollum (just substitute a ring for the show), I both hate it and love it as I hate and love myself. That also sums up my feelings about IKEA, by the way.
- I have always, always, wanted to visit the Winchester House. And I can’t wait to see the movie.

That is a beautiful bag indeed!
The tweets about the doritos were quite amusing. I of course am a true lady and would never dream of eating something as gross as a dorito.
Chic on the Cheap
That's a good looking bag.
Like you I am both sad and filled with rage, but there is way more rage. It's incredible these things happen.
Mat and Nat bags are the besssst!!
Fuck doritos.
It's so sad to read stories about children being raped and murdered. At least the guy was caught and apparently more people are talking about sexual abuse, so thats a very tiny sliver of silver lining to come out of something so atrocious

When I worked in retail years ago, Matt & Nat bags suddenly became all the rage in our store. Everyone had to have one, me included. I think mine was even this colour. It was never really the right shape for me, though, and I had trouble falling in love with it once I actually owned it. Years later, though, I acquired a Matt & Nat backpack and it remains the best backpack I have ever own... not to mention that it is way more chic than a backpack has any right to be.
