All the Frills: Is There Such a Thing as Too Many Sequins?

Last month I was worried I was amassing too many velvet and velour pieces. Clearly my real problem is sequins…

Weekend Reading:

  • I really miss Yale Beinecke’s Library. During my six years at Yale, I was at the Beinecke at least once a month for the Thursday evening Early Modern Colloquium lecture series and then I also did a two month fellowship there, wherein I spent every day sitting in the reading room and looking at their paper collections – not to mention all the other, less regular exhibits and lectures I attended there. It’s just a fantastic place!
  • This is really solid parenting advice.
  • While these jackets are, I’m sure, WAY out of my price range, they are beautiful; and it’s just such a good idea for a collaboration.
  • Another amazing property that the wealthy me that occupies some other dimension has just purchased.
  • The first recorded use of the “f” word.

I am a firm believer in more is more - if you love something, especially something as harmless and wonderful as sequins, why should you deny yourself? (I justify a lot of my shopping this way, clearly.)

You really can't have too many sequined things- and I'm pretty sure I need to borrow that gold bomber from you, it's amazing!

As long as you love them, it's hard to have too many, I think. I love the inuit parenting approach. I wish more parents would adopt it!

Totally agree with everyone here.

As long as you love sequins and it's not doing anybody any harm, sequin it up to the max!

Oh wow C! I think all of these are fabulous! The gold one is probably my fave, you know in case you decide to go Marie Kondo on them, I am sure I can "joyfully" receive them ;)
