Thigh high boots seemed like the most appropriate thing to pair with this athletic wear-esque dress with a silver sequin stripe down the arm. I mean my black Converse would have worked too but I sort of love it with the boots.

I could not agree more. Much like I love pairing Zara clothes with a designer purse, I love the contrast of pairing something super casual, like a sweatshirt dress, with super sleek boots - although in my case, I usually go the opposite route and do a fancy dress with sneakers. But I love how this turned out, so I may have to turn my formula around :)

The pretty Stella and Dot necklace and silver sequin stripe detail on the sleeves provide a nice accent to the look of the black dress. It looks lovely styled with the boots, but would also look fabulous styled with the black Converse sneakers, as the hosiery looks so pretty. It's a lovely OOTD.
