All the Frills: Returning To My Bookshelf

Regular readers of this blog will know I am somewhat of a bibliophile and love few things more than interesting/old book prints. I’ve long wanted a set of Agnes Strickland’s Lives of the Queens of England, a set of volumes which are about as Victorian as one can get. So, of course, I was beyond thrilled when one was gifted to me for Christmas a few years ago. It’s definitely a centrepiece of my book collection.

Wow what an awesome addition to your collection, they look like such fascinating books! :) I hope my kids love reading as much as I used to, I don't feel I get much time now! Most of my time is trying to teach them to be kinder to their books, haha!

Hope that you had a great weekend :)

Those books are just gorgeous. Years ago, we stayed in a hotel and in our room there was a similar set of Alexandre Dumas novels. I still wish we could have brought them home with us...
