The Great Sequin Dress Down

I don’t think it’s much of a secret that I adore sequins, rhinestones and all things that shine. But it can be tricky to incorporate sequins into your everyday wardrobe without looking like a lunatic or a Blanche Dubois for the modern day.

Solution: skinny jeans, a top with a peppering of sequins, and a blazer.

top: Ann Taylor / blazer: H&M

Here are some more shiny things to dazzle your eyes.

I bought a pair of glitter heels for $5 at Wet Seal over 5 years ago. Before they were cool. Now I see Steve Madden and Michael Kors charging out the ass for the same shoes!!! Sad part is, my shoes were abducted 4 years ago.

Love that sequin tank!

I love anything that glitters, I'm terribly like a magpie :P
And yes, it is a tricky look to pull off during the day, otherwise I would wear them more.

Girrrrrrrl, don't show me those Louboutins and expect me not to buy a pair on the Saks website that I am currently perusing! (That's more my fault than yours, but a compulsive shopper always needs someone else to blame.)

Most of the books are indeed mine (the shelves actually wrap all around the room and then into the living room (you can see about 1/3 of them here) - this is why I hate moving, most of the stuff to pack is books...

I love how you incorporated a little sparkle into this outfit! It can be tricky to wear shiny things without looking a little less then classy- but you do it beautifully. :)

That top is great! It's definitely a great way to incorporate a little sparkle into your daytime outfit without looking like a disco ball. I love the photos as well! I'm pretty sure that the gold version of those Louboutins were used in the Sex and the City 2 movie!

Thank you very, very much for your comment by the way. It really means so much to me as a writer! Hopefully I'll be working for one of those fashion magazines one day... ;) hahah
