Degrees of Irrelevancy

Well, I’m back to camouflaging myself in my library (my skin matches the walls you see). I did finally get around to framing and hanging my three degrees from Yale though (that’s an MA, an MPhil, and a PhD – not pictured are my other two degrees from the U of A). Now if only I could take those 5 degree and, I don't know, get a freelance historian job or something...

I do love a diploma printed entirely in Latin though, adds a certain gravitas, no?

dress: H&M / cardigan: Joe Fresh / shoes: Payless / belt: no idea

Wow. Yale! That is amazing. Gosh, I'm just about to start my (first)Degree at University and I think one will be enough for me :)

I love your studious look in these two pictures. Very chic!

My, aren't you educated! Seriously, diplomas do create an impression which is why I had mine nicely framed for my office thirty years ago. (They still hang on my walls.) My favorite, for the reason you cite, is my undergraduate (Hamilton College); its all-Latin prose, with stylish typeface, looks nice.

Good luck with your career.

Congrats on all of those degrees:) I agree, the Latin does make it seem so much more official.

I have none of my degrees displayed, but maybe if I had a doctorate from Yale, I would. And then I would show it to everyone who visited
